Dolls Dolls Dolls

I am on Ebay restriction for a while. I wanted to get a couple dolls to use in a couple of art projects and before I knew it I was in over my head. I set my max bid really high thinking no one will bid it up that high, and they did. So now they are keeping me company in the studio, but I will have to sell a few because I can't keep them all.

I have a mix of broken and perfect ones, but I love the ones with the imperfections. Kind of like us don't you think?

I have lots to report from the PMC conference, but that will have to wait until I have more time. Let's just say all the buzz was about the new Bronze Clay available now at Rio Grande. It is far more affodable than PMC and some georgeous patinas. I have already sketched out many new designs...using the two metals and can't wait to get to work.

Oh yum yum yum!!! Are these those bisque dolls from that guy who digs them up in Germany? I saw several lots of them but the bidding war was CRAZY!!!! If you *need* to sell some, I'd like to get in line! :-)

And oh man that bronze clay sounds TOO fabulous!!!

Yes please, I too could use a dolly or two. Let me know if they are up for adoption!

Hi Lisa,
I've seen them on ebay too, and couldn't justify buying them. If you sell any, I'd like two or three, or four.
ohh bronze clay, how exciting!

You lucky girl - I LOVE THOSE DOLLS! They are hard to come by . . . I have always gotten outbid on ebay - haven't even looked for quite a while since they usually get so high - good job walking away with the prize!

HI Lisa!

I am so thrilled when I get comments on my blog...thanks for that. So YOUR the one bidding so high on those cute dirty dolls?!! I just refuse to pay 4-$700bucks..believe me I've been bidding for several months, no luck. HOWEVER, I know someone who did the same thing as you (I think) and now is trying to load some off. She's charging $25 for 5 (s/h included)...so I bought some.

As far as the bronze clay, OMG I love bronze. Please share your creations when you have them ready. I took some classes in sculpture, but never did the bronze. I am absolutely fasinated with it.

Did you see the line up at Art Fest? Always the cream of the crop...awesome.

I could probably take some of those babies off your hands. Looking for a new blog name is so important! Of course, I'm partial to "Something Silver"... How is the bronze clay? I'm looking forward to trying it!
